Cape Town offers plenty of beautiful scenery, sunny beaches (with icy Atlantic waves!) and wonderful places to enjoy some of the country’s best food and wine – but a trip to the Mother City takes on a slightly different complexion when you have the kids in tow.

They may love a bit of time at the beach and enjoy frolicking on the grass at a wine estate while you sip Chardonnay, but the appeal of those attractions can be short-lived – and with the Cape’s infamously variable weather, it’s good to have a couple of extra plans up your sleeve to help keep the smaller ones entertained.

Our list of The Seven Best Child-Friendly Activities in Cape Town & Surrounds covers something for all age groups, interests – and, hopefully, weather conditions!
